Where get cheap rj45 "telephone" wall plate outlets?

All the ones around here look like they are from circa 1955 and are $4.25 each, 1 port.
And the huge builder supply places got rid of theirs so they can sell the more expensive modular build-your-own cable/cat outlets.
Any good sources??

Thanks--I have been needed to get some of these too, and that is a good price. Some places try to charge as much as $5 for an rj45 keystone jack!!

Nice site. I just bought some of the wall receptacles at Home Depot yesterday. Their prices are slightly higher, while a few things were less.
Prices 9th Tee / Home Depot
MBPVCSGL Low Voltage Box $1.25 / $0.98
RJ 45 Receptacle Insert $3.00 / $4.96
Blank Insert $1.00 ea / $1.67 for 4
2 Port Cover Plate $2.00 / $1.67

It looks like 9th Tee has good prices on tools. If I end up doing more Cat5 wiring I might have to pick up some.

Y'all should make sure those inserts and recepticles are Category rated (probably looking to get to cat 5, right?)

If the jacks aren't rated, then the probability of getting error-free high-speed data is diminished. It'd kinda suck if you spent the bucks for the cheap stuff, then find out it's wasted....

Naw, I intentionally don't want the rated ones--the price penalty is too high. As long as the wires are not untwisted and extended too far, there is no loss *for my purposes*.

As long as you're just using them for telephones you'll be alright. Just don't expect 100 meg ethernet to run very well.

I would go with Home Depot because after you pay shipping online it may be the same price as Home Depot.

If your going to buy network Cable go to Home Depot because the one near me keeps pricing their stuff wrong so I got Like 100ft of the good Cat5 cable for about $7 if I remember right. If you ask me, that is CHEAP.
