Since we've bought this damn range expander from linksys, we've been having horrible problems. we bought it so that we could get a signal downstairs in the basement from the upstairs router. well, it worked for a while, and then the fucking cleaning lady unplugged it and it's not worked the same since. ive reset both the router and the expander a few times, but still nothing.

my computer upstairs, even though a signal is always visible, sometimes cannot connect. often it will say little or no connectivity, but if i click repair it will work. so my question is, what is the proper way to install this expander (should i put it upstairs or downstairs in the basement), why am i getting a shitty signal on my wireless computer UPSTAIRS, and is there anything else i should be doing that i am not? i assume the expander is working downstairs, because it gives a good signal, but the expander shows a red and blue light instead of two blue lights pretty often, and that computer is having connectivity problems also.

the computer connected to the router is working perfectly.

thanks guys!

The red means "not connected". I have the same setup and they are both blue.
Try moving it to a different place.
