After two years my Dell Inspiron e1505's 6 cell has finally bit the dust. However, I really don't want to pay the $135 Dell's site asks for.

I see it cheaper around the web, but I'm not sure if any of these sites will offer me the same quality. Anyone have experience with other places? Thanks in advanced!

Non-OEM, generic batteries usually coming from China/Hong Kong are quite dangerous as they may be improperly wired, or the build quality may be sloppy, and it all adds up to increased chances of the battery catching fire and/or exploding.

I'm in the same boat myself, the T60 battery is pretty high up there with its cycle count, but if I were looking for a bargain, I'd look for the cheapest place to get genuine IBM batteries. Also keep in mind the Li-Ion shelf life, I believe I've been told it was somewhere around 3 years for holding an optimal charge, and it starts ticking as soon as it's manufactured.
