Where does baby corn come from?

Here at the office we are having a debate on where the baby corn that is in chinese food comes from? Are there just one foot high cornfields out there that I have never seen, or are they taken out prematurely from normal corn stalks? Pics would be great. If they are just one foot high corn stalks then I plan on lining my office with them.

LOL, when I get home I'm throwing out that can of creamed corn I bought this weekend . I don't think I can eat it now.

well mommy corn and the other mommy corn go to the docter and pick a daddy corn from a special book of corn scientists/lawyers/mathmaticians.

after they have picked the daddy corn they are given some "corn juice" then one of the mommy corns puts it in a turkey baster and [cencored] it up the [cencored] [cencored] until she [cencored] a few times.

then 6 weeks later, the second mommy corn gets a big tummy and the baby corn comes gushing out while the mommy corn shouts "DRUGS, GIVE ME DRUGS!"

Ok, do they make mini-corn holders? You know the ones that are the little corn things with prongers, but only fit baby corn? I'm guessing they would be about the size of a pushpin?
