Where do YOU shop for computer games?

What's a good retailer? I haven't been in the game shopping industry in a while, but when I do buy games, I found that Amazon is a pretty good place. Anywhere else?

I compare Amazon, GoGamer.com, GameStop.com, and EBGames.com. Sometimes one will have moved a game to the bargain bin while the others are still selling close to list price.

Also, for older games try a search in "descriptions" not just "titles" if search has those options, since the game you want may now be in a $10 "shovelware" bundle.

Kazaa doesn't have Colin McRae 3.0, oh wait, nor does any place in the friggin world except UK.

Heh Colin Mcrae 3 is easy to get on the net if your into that stuff. Kazaa sucks for games. Personally I shop Anandtech. Try the FS/FT forums you can save up to 50% on used games. You just have to wait 2-3 days for shipping. If I can buy a game around half price used I can wait to get it.

If your going to get your games with the five finger discount, at least use alt.binaries._._

The newbies are taking over!

Probably won't help you, but I tend to get my games from Game stores, cos they have a 10 day "No Questions Asked" return policy. Very useful if the game doesn't have a demo or i can't find a copy online to play before going out and buying it if I like it.

Confused

I buy them whenever they're on sale. I'm not paying 49.99 for a PC game, I'll spend 29 at most for one but I usually wait till they're 19 or less.

cybercity software has a very limited selection but tend to get blizzard games and almost all software are 1/2 price and lower. Frozen throne was on there before the release for $25.

I beg to differ on that one - never yet downloaded a single game via p2p software.
I'm not going to deny that I havn't tried but it - but it has never been successful for me.

In all honestly it seems a lot less hassle to actually buy the game on sale or used 😉

Things were a lot more simple in that department when I lived in Hong Kong 😉
