Where do you see T&L in the future?

I'm deciding....I want to get a Kyro II but lack of T&L is making me think twice....since I want a card that will last me a long time I was looking at Geforce 2 pro or something because prices are comming down on those.....but....where do you see T&L in a year? is it just some stupid thing that's supposed to get more sales or will it actually become useful in a year?

They also have a very large list of games which I cant seem to find it has about 80-90 titles.

Problem is with the GF3 your GF2 might be outdated in a year or so.

B&W is probably the most anticipated game this year (T2 is way overhyped).

Well, if u got a fast CPU, it might be able to keep up w/ T&L cards. Next gen games are prolly gonna have different geometry models for CPU and T&L engines.

"Problem is with the GF3 your GF2 might be outdated in a year or so." well when GF3 comes out...anything that I get now will be outdated anyways...and EvilDonnyboy: will at T-bird 850 be fast enough? with 256 megs of Pc-133 ram...I hope so because when I make this upgrade I don't want to upgrade for awhile..

The current batch of video cards are too memory bandwidth limited to put their T&L engines to full use anyway. The Kyro2 competes very well with even a GTS, despite not having a T&L engine.
