Where do you register your web sites?

I have to register a bunch of websites, where is a good (cheap) place to do it? I made the mistake of registering one through betterwhois, and now I can't make any changes to it and they only have email tech support (I've been waiting a day now to change the DNS info). I need to be able to go in and make changes when I want to.

BTW, thanks RossMAN for the good info on where to get a server, we are up and running, that company is the best I've ever dealt with!

GoDaddy.com is the most popular.

For reasons of preference I use NameCheap.com I prefer their control panel and fast propogation.

However NameCheap.com is NOT an ICANN Accredited registrar.

If you're going to offer some web hosting/computer services you should register YOUR domain(s) with those services then get your own eNom resellers account and you can charge whatever you want for domain registration. The going rate is you pay $8.95 and you charge your customer $14.95, you pocket the $6 difference as profit (numbers are only guesstimates).

With anonymous contact info provided by domainsbyproxy.

1) How do you do that?
2) Is that the GoDaddy service where you pay an EXTRA $9/yr or something else?

2) The former. $9/yr. It's $9! Cheap!

Isn't it actually $18/yr ($9 for domain registration and $9 for privacy service) PER domain?

Or $9/yr TOTAL per domain?

If it's $9/yr TOTAL I might start moving my domains from NameCheap to GoDaddy.

Yeah....the proxy service is in addition to the domain pricing. So, it's like $18/yr for a domain.

And, it's PER domain. I registered two domains the other day and had to pay for each of them for the proxy service.
