where do you look for summer jobs?

I want a better full-time summer job than the one I'm at now, with the option of going part-time when school starts up in the fall again. Where do you usually look for summer work?

go to your local supermarket. what job do you have now?

Staples, in the computer department. I'm looking for something that, ah, pays better and is a bit more exciting. I'm in college and I'm getting married in a couple months. I was thinking maybe a summer internship and going through my school, but I wanted to get some ideas of where to look first. I've always just got basic local jobs in the past, but I'll need a better hourly wage or even a salary for the summer.

what major are you in? the best place would be your own school, or any other school. experience in what you're studying is worth a lot more than $10 an hour.

right now computer technology, but I'm switching to computer graphics after I get my associate's. I'm really familiar with building and repairing computers, but Staples is the only computer-related job I've ever had. Do you need the A+ cert to get into most computer repair jobs? I was also thinking about maybe a print shop, to get hands-on experience with actually doing some graphics, but the smell of inks and stuff really gets to me whenever I go to a graphics shop or even a Kinko's type place. So, computers and/or graphics. I've only worked at 3 places so far; I cooked and then managed a Pizza Hut, I worked construction, and I work at Staples. I don't particularly care for retail and I don't like managing.

yup. I'm visiting my school's career center next week and I've been looking online a lot. there's an awful lot of "Make $15,000 a month @ home work!!!" ads at the online sites too.

heh just don't end up prostituting yourself! =)

if you'll have to pick between money and some very nice experience, i'd go for the experience. i think i just lost like $3k a year just because i don't have enough "working experience". experience really helps esp. if you don't do so well in school.

good luck!
