Where do you install Firefox after extracting it?

Hi, I'm new to Linux, and I didn't like the Konqueror browser supplied with SuSe Linux 9.1 so I downloaded Firefox. I've looked all over the website on where to install Firefox, but they never go beyond the point of what to do after you execute FireFox. I extracted the firefox-1.0PR-i686-linux-gtk2+xft-installer.tar.gz to a temp directory called "Downloads". When I execute it, the target directory it installs to is "Downloads". What is the default directory I can install Firefox so that it is installed properly?

Gaim was a cinch. It installed easily using YaST and created a shortcut in my Linux Start folder (Whatever you call that) Internet -> Chat -> Gaim. Please help. I'm a linux noobie and am so lost.
