Where do you guys buy your ink?

Hey guys, my printer ran out of ink and I don't want to drop another 60 bucks to get some more cartridges.

I was wondering where you guys bought your inkjet ink, are there any sites or places that offer better deals?

Thanks

Why not just buy a laser printer? If you're dropping 60 bucks on ink cartridges, you'll save some coin with a laser printer.

HP Laserjet P1006 100 USD - I have this one and its a solid little printer.

HP LaserJet P1005 - 85 USD

Samsung ML 2510 65 USD

I used SwiftInk when I had inkjet, but I have used laser for past 2 years. Bought toner only 2x for about 2,000 pages, set me back less than $100.

I used to buy from 123inkjets.com... but I didn't use my printer often enough, and I think ink has a limited life after you open it. I switched to laser. Laser printers are so cheap these days. I just got a color laser printer for $200. :Q Starter toners of course, but I print in color sparingly so that's fine.

I've been using Walgreens refill service. My local place does a good job and there are coupons that make it a very good deal.

I am on my second toner in over 10 years ... I haven't bought ink in at least 3 or 4 years .... (bought it last at staples) ...
My family members who have inkejets just go to Walgreens though ...

Which brand & model mugs?

Would that $65 samsung laser printer and black toner replacement be more economical than a typical inkjet printer?
All the inkjet/bubble jet printers I have used are annoying and wont let me print when one of the color cartridges goes low. I freaking hate that.

Yeah get a laserjet. If you print in color still get a laserjet. You'll save in the long run. Instead of changing cartridge every 2 weeks and paying 60 bucks per, you'll change the toners once a year and pay 100 bucks per. It hurts less that way.

The Dell 1230c is a $200 laser. Expensive to refill, though.

I get refurb'd (or whatever) toner from Monoprice. Doesn't last as long but is like 1/4 the price of the actual cartridge.

What printer do you have? Some have chipped cartridges that don't "like" to be refilled and don't always function properly when you do.

Wow, thanks for all the responses guys

I have an HP all in one 5610. Some of you guys reccomend laser printers, even if I need color prints. Arn't laser printers actually less ineffective for home use because of their huge power draw? I'm saying this because I have a friend switching from laser back to inkjet because he found out his samsung monochrome draws over 300 watts while printing and an HP AIO draws less than 30.

Looks like it

Power Consumption (laser):
Sleep: 8W
Standby: 80W
Peak: 460W

Power Consumption (inkjet):
Sleep: 4W
Standby: 6W
Peak: 29W
