where do you guys buy water filters?

as the topic says. where do you buy your filters for your fridge? any good online places for cheap orders?


its annoying that none of the stores near me have it. well lowes, and home depot didn't anyway.

This place has it for $28 but not sure about shipping


A couple sellers at eBay have it for around $30 shipped.

I buy mine from filtersfast.com for our LG fridge... I have also ordered from a place called fridgefilters.com they offer free shipping on $75 orders.

I've been buying my particular filters the last few times on ebay from appliancecarestore1. They have a website too, but the prices aren't the same. Last time I purchased(5+ months ago), they had the best deal when buying in multiples.

As long as it says NEW and they have some feedback nothing to really worry IMO. Not like there is a lot of people making that filter.
I bought the one for our old fridge from sears but got the next one from some seller at eBay. Same filter. But with sears I was able to pick it up. So time or money.

yeah and there are some good deals. 4 for $98+shipping. thats 2 years worht of filters!

whao 2 years? i don't think i would bother at that point. heh

we are going on 8 months. not bad since they recomend you change it every 6. but mani thought it would last longer then 6 months. At $30 a pop its nuts.

we also have a RO system. but that needs changed also. it was $200 to change the filter (one of the first home RO systems). thinking of just buyinga new RO system (around $150 for one).

teh RO system is better then the fridge filter.

Hook up your R/O system to your refer, it's the only way to go :thumbsup: then you can go without the refer filter, or install the bypass plug, if it needs it.

BTW, and you guys may already know this, those filter replacement lights are based on time, not water volume...you'll know when it's really time to change those filters!
