Try digikey

This is where I get all my electronic components from. The Blue LEDs sell for about 2.67/pc <10qty. 10 of them for about $25
There are some other places too.

All Electronics cheap place for components
They have blue ones in qty of 10-99 for $2.25/pc It depends what size you want. Just take a look around and you'll find em.

-edit-
Jsut looked at radio shack's online prices. Is this really how much you guys have been paying for them? WOW! Use Digikey. They're huge and almost always have them in stock . All Electroncis is a good place too.

Also when you check with digikey or allelectronics, check the specs and make sure yo uare getting the correct viewing angle. I think typically you would want the blue clear with angle of about 25 degrees. Correct me if I'm worng on this.

Hey, if you hook those blue leds up, what voltage do those need???

I hooked mine to the regular connector where the small ones used to be on, but that doesn't seem to have enough voltage.. the lights don't light up constantly (not a HDD connector) but flicker... go on and off...

If I remember correctly, typically, w/ 5V supllied to LED, use a 220ohm to 1Kohm resistor. Depending on how bright you want it. Some LEDs cannot handle that much current. Some can handle more. Just gotta read the specs and run the calculations.

Am I right? Its been a while since I worked with LEDs.

This is really off topic, but a friend of mine has soldered some blue leds into his silver Siemens S35 mobile phone, looks damn nice.

But I guess most of you guys over there in the US don't know Siemens cellular phones anyway ;)
