We were discussing this at work today and the general consensus is people don't generally sit down in their dining rooms and eat anymore. So, where do you eat?

At my computer if working, or at the coffee table and couch while watching TV otherwise. We don't have a dining area.

Edit: We do have an area that was designed to be a dining area, but I use it as an office.

In front of the TV. I don't have a dining room, technically, just one long, main living room, but it's clearly divided into a "dining area" and the home theater. The fiancee and I haven't had dinner at the dining table since we moved in.

if im eating solo usually at the sink if it's a small meal or in front of the tv.. when im eating with the rest of the fam.. at the dinner table.

The dining room is for formal occasions.

My family mostly eats at the kitchen table.

When did people normally eat in the dining room? Not in my lifetime, and I ain't a kid.

I eat out for lunch work days, I usually eat out for dinner once or twice a week with the Fiance, when eating at home, we both usually eat in the living room. Sometimes we eat at the kitchen table. My house does not have a dedicated "dining room", the dining area is part of the kitchen.

I almost always eat my dinner at the dining room table; I eat lunch at my desk at work.

During week:
Breakfast in the kitchen
Lunch at desk
Dinner on couch in front of TV as God intended

Weekends:
Breakfast/lunch/dinner on couch in front of TV as God intended.

Wife (Satan) is attempting a transition to the dining room for dinner now that our first bundle of joy has arrived, even though I have repeatedly told her this goes against the teachings of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I wish I could get the wife to eat at the dining room table. I'm the only one that ever eats there.

Dining room table, as my kitchen doesn't have a table.

Also, I HAVE to read something while I eat. Whether it's a newspaper or a magazine or even product packaging, I can't eat unless I have something to read. 😛

I love that part. 'How was your day? Did you have a good day? How was your day today? What about your day?' 😀

Makes me laugh every time.

It's the first thing I say every time we sit down to eat at the dinner table. Usually buys me about a week before she tries it again. :awe:

Mostly in Bed, sometimes on the living room sofa or the floor... if we are really desperate and cant keep our hands off each other... its very difficult to do in the bathtub, but shower is another common place...

No dining room, we eat at the kitchen table usually sun-thur as family (myself, wife and child). Fridays and Saturdays it's usually on the couch watching a movie or something.
