Well, I'm looking to buildup a summer wardrobe. I've got plenty of jeans and long sleeve shirts, but am looking for summer clothes. I want something more stylish than Sears or Old Navy, but don't want to spend a fortune either... I've got to buy books, pay tuition, etc.

I've been looking around American Eagle, but a lot of their stuff seems pretty bland.

Most of the clothes in my closet come from my local university bookstore. I've got tons of Michigan t-shirts and they are perfect when paired with a pair of khaki or cargo shorts. Steve and Barry's rocks.

I wear a little of everything - Old navy, Americna Eagle (until they started switching everything to the stupid "Slim fit" crap! - hello, fat people don't want clothes that are slim fit!!!!!!!!), gap, and a bunch of older clothes - some emo stuff that I bought at goodwill when I was donating some stuff there.

Check out an Urban Outfitters if you have one in your neighborhood. They are very hipsterish and not very expensive.

I think you'd be totally amazed at what you can find at a thrift store. Sometimes there are stains on them, but sometimes all it takes it a good bleech job combined with a touch of dye for color and boom. New clothing. Or else take off the sleeves or the legs. I found all the parts for my Hobbit costume for holloween there, and it looked very cool. Now I have seen the light and think that has to be the best place for clothing stuff. :) And some of it is original 1970's stuff that is only now coming back IN style. Go vintage...

WTF, UO is not what I would call "not very expensive". I did find a cool shirt there once only to wash it and have everything else in the laundry tinted the same color:| I'll never shop there again....

I'll give you a quick description of what they'll say here: "Shop at Cost Co/WalMart/K-Mart/eBay/cheap-place because you're g** if you spend more than $10 on an article of clothing".

Easy shopping. ^_^

I usually pay for it if its nice but I refuse to pay top dollar for the "rags" they call clothing at AE and AF.

go buy winter clothes. they'll be on sale, and you can start stocking up. then when winter comes, buy summer clothes. sure, your gonna suffer wearing sweaters this summer, but next year, you'll be stylish for cheap.

You're what?

He's certainly free to shop wherever he wants; I've found that the clothing I'll find at Costco is little different than the clothing at American Eagle (where I do also shop on occasion), and it's half the cost. Until I suddenly have the money to double the amount I spend on clothing, it's Costco for me (and TJ Maxx for white t-shirts, boxers, etc.).

Well perhaps I should change my wording, as anybody that knows me in real life knows that I'm one of the last persons to use that as a derogatory term. I was just trying to best sum up the general stereotype here on clothes. I'm not intending to insult anyone, I thought I'd save him the time of realizing the prevailing mentality here.

man, why am I in such a negative mood tonight. Damn 0-0 OT...

Bad advice. Girls will pick up stuff that will get you laid; if not by them then someone else. Simple as that.

GAP, sometimes Navy Blue, Banana Republic (only on sale item, I never pay full retail price), some Club Monaco, maybe a little Hot Topic for some weird stuff. Check out Ross for cheap stuff, once a blue moon you will find a nice deal.
and I get most of my dress shirt from Macy's "on sale" rack. $20-25, DKNY to Kenneth Cole's Reaction to Geoffery Beane.

and I can never find something that fit me (being an Asian) from American Outfitter and Abercombie and Fitch. (surprise) Beside, they expensive.

fvck that. unless you are going clubbing every night there is no reason at ALL to buy a bunch of "stylish" clothes. going to class every day what do you see? half the people are still in their pajamas and the other half are in jeans in a t-shirt. takes more than clothes to get laid. you can look as good as you want but honestly, if you're asking for advice on clothes here you aren't exactly grade-a in that department.
