I need either
1. Mini Hdmi to hdmi version 1.4 and 10.2gbps
OR
2. Hdmi to Hdmi version 1.4 and 10.2gbps
b. a highspeed 1.4 female adapter to hook two cords togeather.



See the one from nvidia doesnt come with enough length for me to hook it up so I need something just a bit longer then what I have. About 15 feet. I have read alot about cables and everything I have read says to go with hdmi 1.4 and at least 10.2gbps transfer rate

I like best of the best anyways. Look at my computer specs. I def didnt need all that but I wanted it lol. I really want to make sure I do this right and if nvidia is taking the time to send all new ones to everyone that bought them you know there most be a difference. The cost alone would be very high.

I have a prime development opportunity down at Louisiana for sale. Great ocean front view, rich in oil.

Your computer gear buying experience has nothing to do with audio visual cables. nVidia probably went too cheap on the cable. Just get an appropriate GA cable with the right connectors and length. If you cannot find a cable with the right termination, the go the adaptor route. Do not daisy-chain cables.

best of the best = you're a sucker.

Its a digital signal. If it gets through, the cable is good and the quality is EXACTLY the same as a $250 monster cable. You MIGHT be able to make the argument for an analog signal, but not for a digital one.

this, just get the ones from monoprice

the only time you want to spend money on cables if is you are running 20+ feet of inwall cabling

If he wants the best there is no need to deter him from the nearest BB and their fantastic supply of Monster cables.

Thanks guys I found a spot I could get them. It was actually newegg under pc's not homevideo.

ps No its not 1080p but incase I want to upgrrade later on I want to be ready.

Got my HDMI to Mini HDMI over Memorial weekend at Walmart. Use it from my HD Video Cam to my HD TV. Works very well. Phillips Brand.

i got an HDMI cable for my Sony 46" LCD off of Amazon for $0.81...lol it was like 2.90 with shipping

EXACTLY. My friend got $1 cables from Amazon a few months ago and is very happy with them. No issues whatsoever. Monster cables are probably the biggest ripoff in this area...there are too many articles to even link to.

It's a digital signal. Cheaper is actually better (to a point) in this case.

I bought 8 cables from meritline for $9 total, shipped. 1 crapped out after a year or so, the others are still all working fine.

As others have said, if you're worrying about specs on an HDMI cable, you really need to reevaluate your life.

I know there's a ton of Monoprice love and a ton of Monster Cables hate (myself included), but with longer cables quality does matter. Usually for anything 20' and under, you won't be able to tell the difference between a $3 monoprice cable and a "100 BILLION DOLLAR" cable (if one existed). However, at 30' the difference starts to become noticeable and at 50' there's a big difference.

For most of us, this is moot with our 6-10' cables, but I just wanted to point it out. Also, Blue Jeans Cable is better quality and (I think) cheaper than Monster, so if you really want quality, that's where to go. The link is further up in this thread.

Not necessarily. I found the review I was talking about. You can look up parts 1 and 2 of the comparison as well. Basically, Monoprice's thickest 35' cable didn't match the quality of the 35' Monster cable. The kicker to that is that they could only tell the difference with benchmarks; their eyes couldn't tell the difference between the 35' cables. However, they didn't use the cables forever either.

If I were going for a >20' HDMI cable, I might pony up some extra money for a better-than-monoprice-but-less-expensive-than-monster cable just for the peace of mind since there actually is a difference between them as measured in part 2 of their comparison.

Also, the 50' Monoprice cable failed both the benchmarks and the eyeball test with major problems. Monster didn't have a 50' cable at the time unfortunately, but they speculate that given the difference in benchmark performance between the 35' cables, the Monster 50' would've handily outperformed the Monoprice 50'.
