Where do you buy your games from?

I've used all those options at one point or another, but most of the time when I'm buying a new game I just go to a local B&M. Most of my games I either buy new or rent via Gamefly.

Amazon. Almost always.

No tax. Free shipping. Release-day delivery.

Is release day delivery an advertised feature? Not being able to get new games on release day is the main reason I don't normally buy online.

gamestop and ebay. amazon is a ripoff for used games often times because the prices are too high due to the fact listings are free to post so people don't care if they price too high because they don't pay expensive insertion fees.

If you have a Prime account and use 2-day delivery, it will almost always get there on the release day.

If you don't have Prime, Amazon is rolling out a "release day guarantee" system for some games - Soul Caliber IV was the most recent one, but there are others to follow.

Where ever I get the cheapest deal.

Same. But sometimes I buy them new at stores like Best Buy, Walmart, Target or Game Stop.

Some examples:

Icewind Dale II (PC) - Target had advertised at nearly half retail, so I bought it. I think it was a mistake on their part but they honored it.

Super Mario Galaxy (Wii) - got it one month after release used at Game Stop for $45

Mario Kart (Wii) - paid full price but it was usually never on the shelf and my daughter paid for half because she wanted it badly.

Folklore (PS3) - paid $29 at Walmart (half of original retail) because that was a decent deal.

Heavenly Sword (PS3) - bought used at Block Buster, just over half price.

Our Rogers Video stores up here always have 2/$40 sales, sometime 2/$30 on big holidays. I usually stock up then on games I normally wouldn't buy. Just the really big games I look forward to(GTA 4, NHL) I buy brand new at whatever store I'm near on release day. Otherwise, its all used games for me.

There's a Gamestop about half a mile from my house that I buy almost all my games from. Games are usually impulse buys for me, and I hate waiting for items to ship.

I buy lots of games off ebay, but nobody really tells the truth about the condition.

some people ship it in a manilla envelope which arrives torn and the disc is flopping around with no bubble wrap protection

Same here. Sometimes I'll go to Gamestop and browse their used games, or deals at other B&Ms.

Amazon charged me $135 sales tax on my Samsung hi def LCD TV. Apparently they just started doing this a couple months ago.

Amazon.com if I don't mind waiting. Target or GameStop if I want it now. Sometimes at Costco B&M if they have the game I want. I don't buy used.

Yep. Same here.

If no super good deals, I'll order from amazon. Free 2 day shipping, no tax is great. And used games, I do shop at gamestop a lot, but only when they have those really nice coupons. 20-25% off X games, plus 10% edge card. I've gotten a lot of great deals using that

Usually B&M Gamestop or Best Buy. I usually only buy online if there are good deals online like the TRU buy 2 get 1 sales.

B&M

Some I got from Amazon, but very very few cause of shipping time and lack of deals. I don't buy used, so that's that mattress man.

I just bought 2 games off AT'ers in FS/T. I've also bought games from all of the survey options too.

I don't buy used games or sell mine. That being said, I buy my games mostly at Amazon but I also buy them at BestBuy and CC. Recently I bought COD4 (PS3) for $39.99 at CC and Condemned 2 (360) for $19.99 at Amazon. 🙂 I think I have like 10 unopened games for my 360. 🙂
