I'm out of checks and I need to order some. Where do you guys order it? I just want to find the cheapest place. I like using duplicate checks. I did a google and the cheapest I found so far is Walmart (yes, Walmart sells checks). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Psyber

You can buy cheques? Doesn't your bank just issue them like in pretty much every other country?

Have you tried Deluxe already? My bank uses them for check re-ordering and I usually pay about $16 for a full box of checks, which tends to last me quite a while.

Me too . The basic design is free, if you want some other motif on the checks it costs extra.

Reorder checks from the bank will be about $10-$25.

Via Mail/Net will be about $2-$5 depending on the design and company.

Speed of delivery is about the same.

Most come from the same printing house that the banks use.

Yes, I remember ordering checks for about $4-5 a box (shipping included). It was through a circular I received in the mail, but I don't remember what company it was (I think it had a promo code too). I don't know if I have time to wait for another circular to be mailed to me (I have 10 checks left). I do use online bill pay, but some things I still have to give checks (IE - property taxes). Anyone have any cheap specific companies they buy from? Ordering through a bank is too expensive, $15 for a stack of paper is ridiculous. Even Walmart will cost me $8 + tax and shipping for a box.

I will check out Deluxe, but I remember them being fairly pricey.

12.95 first box and .95 for second for duplicates

wow some good prices!

I agree. I'm probably gonna order from one of these. Excellent post psydancerqt. A+++ ...btw... I could not find any 3.99 checks at http://secure.checksinthemail.com/index_promo.aspx?code=2301 Cheapest I found was 5.99 for singles and 7.99 for duplicates.

My Credit Union uses deluxe so I get no discount there. Anyways... these are for my Netbank checks - I have to have duplicates or I'll have no idea what I wrote my checks out for.

Hehe, my post of the same nature at that obese wallet forum turned into a flame war about the evils of Walmart.

It's strange that no one's mentioned http://www.walmartchecks.com/ yet.

$6 for 240 basic checks. $7 for 175 duplicating checks.

Actually, I mentioned it in the first post. So you happen to know if they charge tax? Have you ever ordered from them? They are the cheapest if they don't charge tax. About the same as image checks and check gallery if they do.

First post updated with findings. Let me know if you've ordered from either and if you know if they charge tax.

Okay, I went through the trouble of filling it all out just to confirm that Wal-Mart does charge tax in California. It adds $0.64 to the box of 175 duplicates.

This is common, right? If they have a store in your state, they have to charge tax is my understanding.
