Online because there's nowhere here to buy them. Well, there's one used record store here I suppose, but I never go there. Probably 90% of the music I listen to they don't have anyway.

Record label companys will soon be out of business in the years ahead. The 6 Music Stores around here have all ether moved out or are out of business.

I suggest purchasing CD's off of Amazon if you prefer the physical media.

What city do you shop in? HMV in my area (Greater Vancouver) is on average, $3-4 more expensive per CD than Future Shop or A&B Sound. I used to go to A&B more but their business has taken a big hit. Now I mostly go to Future Shop, or Best Buy if FS doesn't have what I'm looking for.

HMV or Amazon. I tried to buy some stuff from the local store a block away, but they've recently become emo/super independent/alt-rock or something.

Usually from HMV, very few local record stores in this little craphole I live in that sell more than just emo and metal.
