Where do you buy your cat from... need 1000

Trying to see where people get their plenum Cat6 and Cat5e cable from? Looking to get 1000feet of each. Cat6 for Ethernet and Cat5e for the phone.

I checked Lowes/homedepot but they are more costly then some I have seen online. So trying get some good plenum cable for the lowest cost. Also what about patch panels, plugs, etc...
 
Belden or Liberty usually. I think Belden is cheaper, but that may just be the terms.
 
I go with PCConnection because I still get a good deal there. But can check out newegg, conputergeeks, buy.com, etc.

As for keystone type wall jacks, I get all mine from http://www.lanshack.com or form PCConnection if I get them with the cable to save on shipping.

What sort of prices have you been seeing so far?
 
i was looking at monoprice... did cat5e go up in price or something? I bought 1000' of cat5e from home depot for $60 back in the day.

Exactly what I thought. This thread is 1000 times less interesting than I'd hoped.
 
This is where I got mine, although from what I remember it was a lot cheaper when I bought it.

EDIT: Indeed. I just looked it up and the exact same item used to be $40 last year. I guess those copper prices really do make a difference.
 
Cat5 prices went up because of the spike in copper when all the commodities like oil were going nuts. Greybar is worth looking at.

Yea I thought they use to be ok after a 10% off coupon or so. But they are not competitive anymore IMO.
