Having noticed that furniture is one of the few things still made in america, I was curious which furniture stores people frequent. Department stores, regional chains, or local shops. Vote in pole...

 
none of those

the room i am in now:

entertainment center - i built it
bookshelf - i built it
sofa - This End Up
computer tables - costco
recliner - inherited it from father-in-law

so we have stuff from all types of sources
 
Let's see...

Home Office (I call it the "War Room") - Office Depot/Staples
Living Room - Local furniture store and Ikea
Dining Room - Same local store
Kitchen - Didn't buy much as the appliances were included. The big pieces in the drawers came from the Farberware Factory Store
Bedroom - Ikea
Bathroom - Uh...Bed, Bath, & Beyond, some bits and pieces from the Ralph Lauren (Factory 😛) Store, and my shower curtain is from Target 🙂

And that's that...although a lot of the details in my place did come from Wal-Mart or the PX; stuff like blinds, my curtain, welcome mat, soap dispenser, and so forth.

I'm not sure what you want me to answer in the poll 😕

I probably got the most number of pieces from Ikea, but I spent the greatest amount of dollars at that local furniture store.
 
..I've found some good stuff dumped on the street..amazing what people throw out these days.

Oh, and maybe we still see American made stuff here in the states because overseas/air shipping is so expensive on ginormous furniture
