Where do you buy contacts

So my current stock of contact lenses is running out but my prescription is still good so I don't need another eye exam. I'm going to check with Costco about getting a refill, but I was curious where others on here buy their contact lenses.

I order my wife's contacts online wherever has the best deal. It's usually visiondirect or 1800contacts. You can find some decent CB and coupons at sites like fatwallet, ebates, and retailmenot.

Are the contacts from 1800 good? I've heard the contacts are low quality?

I get mine from Costco. Cheapest I have found and they usually (every time in the last 8 years I have been going) have a rebate.
AquaComfort Plus Dailies. I think I paid something like $35 a box after rebate. Under $300 a year for dailies.

I know this guy who used to work for the mob, and he will knock off anyone I want for only $500 ... oh sorry, I read that as "Where do I buy my contracts". My bad.

I usually order mine online from Walgreens. The price is good and they almost always have a 25% off coupon. I get them at least twice a month in my email. They have always been the cheapest since I started using them. I've used Walmart and 1800 contacts before, they are the same thing now.

Are all contact lenses disposable now? I havent worn contacts in 20 years because I always fell asleep with them on and in the morning its all one big blur. I am sure they are better now but are they all disposable?

I have been wearing contacts for the past 12 years. I wear each pair for around 2-4 weeks and have never had any issues. I am currently using Acuvue oasys hydraclear. In the morning it may be a little dry but contact solution will solve that.

you wear them overnight?

i wear 2 weeks, but change them religiously and never fall asleep in them.

How much do you guys pay for them? I get them from my eye doctor, Ciba Vision Air Optix, $90 for 6 month supply.

Yea overnight every day. My optometrist was worried that long term use would cause the blood vessels in my eye to swell up but so far it hasn't.

I use a less common Cooper Brand toric lens. I've bought from 1800contacts before, but I found the Costco price to be best when I last purchased them (a year ago).

Mine are suppose to be 3 month lifetime, but they seem to last a lot longer before getting uncomfortable. I don't sleep in them.

Do they still make long term contacts? Last time (20+ years) I had contacts you had to clean them everyday and had to take them off at night. But they lasted at least a year. Gas permiable or some shit like that. I used to wear hard contacts, those were the best, had no irritation like I did with soft.

I have not seen any. Seems max life time is up to 45 days depending on brand/type. After that ive had cracks appear on the edges of the contact.
