Question Where do Skype contacts come from?

Hi,

I have an Outlook email address and if I sign into that and go to contacts I have 2 contacts there, which is correct.

I recently installed Skype and logged in with my Microsoft account and in my contacts in there are a load of people. I do recognise most of them. Some of them I used to chat to on MSN. If I open blocked contacts in Skype there are a load more people.

I could manually delete them all but I would like to know why they are there because I presume they are present somewhere in my Microsoft account but I don't know where?
