where do saved sound schemes go?

in ctrl panel | sounds & audio devices under the windows sounds section you can save and load schemes... so i saved my own scheme and i was wondering where the file goes.... i called it 'alex' and i searched my entire HD for just 'alex' and found nothing 🙁

it would be practical to have this for reformats 🙂

any help appreciated!
