Where do old people get their clothes from?

Ever seen an old person and thought, "where in the heck did they get such a ridiculous outfit from?"

I see these old people with shirts that look to be about 40 years old. Surely their clothes cannot be that old because clothes simply do not last that long. Specifically I'm talking about people 75 and older.

I see drab and brownish 1960s shirts, odd colored pants.

Where in the hell do old people buy their clothes from? The stuff some of they wear I have never seen for sale anywhere?

So such thing! They have high end shops where wealthier old people shop, but those clothes are not ridiculous looking.

It's mostly working class old people. They dress ridiculously. Where do they get these clothes from? A time machine?

Thrift stores seem to have an endless supply of out-of-date clothes. Many old people are cheap. Coincidence? You be the judge.

One day you will be old, and younger folks are going to wonder where you got your shtty clothes from.

I can promise you that I will dress fashionably when I am old.

Some old people, I don't even think they care how they look.

I see other old people who always dress up, but even when they dress up, they still look ridiculous.

That is typically the rule, but every once in a while I see an old guy who seems to be dressed tastefully. Whether it be khakis + button down or carpenter jeans. I hope I'm like them when I'm old.

You may dress strangely, but probably not as "strangely" as most old people.

i shop at thrift stores, and make some of my own clothes...
i don't think it's very strange, but i'm sure some people would.

i've also seen old people wearing things and thought, i wonder how much they want for that jacket?

see here's where i think you've nailed it. they've long since given up caring; they dress for function, not style.

when you're 75-80+ you have more important things to worry about than if your clothes look ridiculous: not falling down, not sh!tting your pants, not forgetting your name or where you are...these things trump fashion.

I see this guy at the bus stop on my way to work everyday. He always has on a suit but with a white t-shirt with designs/words on front with white socks and those old velcro strapped tennis shoes.

edit: Unless my dad is working (Custodian) he's always in slacks with a dress shirt. As much as he wants me to wear that attire I just can't. There's always a time and place for it but not everyday while off the job.

Nope, it won't work. Then you'll just look like a wannabe, an old person who tries desparately to say to the world, "I'm not old, you goddamn whippersnappers! Look how I dress! See? See??"

I'm going to be everything old people are not when I'm old. I will not get a handicapped tag, or drive an old people's car. I will not dress elderly. I will have all the latest technology. I will not drive slow. And I will complain about how slow and out of touch other old people are.

My grandpa has some ancient work clothes he still wears around. Some of the stuff really is that old.
