I went to Getty station at 166 st northern blvd in Queens, NY. Paid $60 to fix my horn in order to pass car inspection.

One day later, Horn stopped working and my stop light was short circuited(both share the same fuse).
Store owner refused to take responsibility.

I was unable to find a link at www.nysdmv.gov
anyone can help this situation?
thanks in advance!

Chris.

Well, don't throw your horn through the window, just a horn. He'll get the message, yet have no proof you did it. I'm sure his deductable is over $60.00.

If you do something like that, make sure they don't have security cameras... anyway, your inspection should be good for another year. Don't worry about it... or replace the fuse with one wrapped in aluminum foil. I promise it won't blow out. Of course, you could short out your entire electrical system that way.

How about having him fix it again, then stop payment on the check you pay him with?

That would probably just get him arrested for theft by check.

Plus it might be a cash only business.
