Where do I place my cert file for RedHat 6.2 to enable SSL?

Hello, I have downloaded the openssl code from the www.openssl.org page, unzipped and untared it, followed the directions in the readme file, ran the install, did all the makes and created my key, certificate and certificate request files. What next? I figure I either need to put the certificate in a specific location, or modify some file to point to the file then reboot? Also, who do I send the request into, and how much is it going to cost? Any help would be appreciated.
