I have an idea for a website, and would like possibly a team of people to help with it, because it's no small thing.

My idea is to make a site with book trading. I noticed i have a lot of books lying around that i've read and would like to trade them for other books. I want to start a sucessful site where this can happen, but I need help. I've seen two others, but i feel i can do a better job. The site would be 'modern', or as some of you know it as, WEB 2.0 :p

If anyone has any information on where i can find people to help make a company, like a website with classifieds, or if anyone is interested in helping me out, that would be great. Thanks.

While a good idea, there is no way the site would be able to work independantly. First off, it is not cost effective to ship books, so you would need people trading books locally. In order to get a large enough group of people in a given area, you need a lot of traffic. A classic chicken/egg scenerio. Such an idea is feasable, but would need to be a part of a larger site (which would draw the initial traffic).

Anyway, to answer your question, try sitepointforums.com

Edit: Also, don't use buzzwords such as web 2.0 when talking to webmasters. It is a joke to everyone who knows enough about it. It may work on investors and the average person, but not on the technical crowd.

I was thinking of having amazon as a backend somehow. If the person couldn't find what book they wanted, they could buy it off amazon. Also, the site would grab the book information and ratings from amazon.

as for shipping, they could print shipping labels from the site.
