Where do I get the best ocing bios for NF7-S2? Can only hit 2.48

Can only get 2.48 ghz @ 1.82 Vcore DLT3C JIXIB 0332 XP1800
Temps 34 on cpu and 17 on system
15 x 165 = 2.475 ghz 2 x 256mb pc2100
What's the best bios for NF7-S 2.0 and where to DL it?

i think the latest bios is pretty much the best

think that's 18 or 19

but as for those voltages your using i would suggest lowering them immediately if you like you cpu


how high can you get to with say 1.74v maybe ??

@ 1.74 I can get 2.3 ghz

that is a nice oc but i give your cpu maybe a few weeks on that voltage/heat
if you had watercooling or prometia or something it might live a few months
but that kinda voltage kills i've fryed more than one athlon right around those voltages


but even at 1.74v you get a good oc and i would consider that a fairly safe voltage

1.8v for XP 1800+ overclocked to 2.2ghz (one of the early 1800+). It's been running 24/7 for about a year & I hope it burns so that I can get one of those new 1.45v ones.

may i ask how you get that 15multi? on my nf7-s rev2 and 1800+... I can't get any multis higher than 11.5 or something.. Is there a trick you can do to it? my 1800+ is also an JIXIB.

I don't mind any voltage 1.9V or less personally. As long as it stays cool/stable. But maybe its different with a chips like the DLT's that are rated at lower stock voltage? I've heard people say that but I've never had one so I don't know from experience.

my nf7-s fives me a range from 5x-22x with a 1800+

His voltage is dick all, IMHO. I'm running my Athlon XP 2400+ at 2.525GHz (12.5x202) using 2.15 volts! As long as you have excellent cooling as I do with my 5250 BTU air-conditoner you'll be fine. Voltage is not the killer...heat is.:beer:

Is your cpu tbred b or palomino? If palomino its locked.

I think 1.8 V is fine for it, as long as I got cool temps
My temps dont go above 40 under full load
I'm running right now at 1.5 v stock with 2.2 ghz however
All I wanted to find out was the limit for this cpu and it seems to be 2.5 with air cooling @ 1.8 V

Running 14 x 167 = 2.34 ghz @ 1.65 V going to prime it tonight
I set my pc2100 ram @ 2.8 V or it won't work <--Will this be a problem?

My stepping is JIXIB so it would be Tbred B.. for some reason, the higher multi isn't unlock.. like the palis...

erm.. voltage does more damage than heat... nuff said

UPDATE:
Just got SLK900U and Thermaltake Case Fan 2
Now down to 1.6V @2.34
Temps doesn't go beyond 30 now under load on cpu
