want to mount a plasma on the wall, i assume the first step is to find the studs so you are mounting into something sturdy. can i get one a home depot? Anywhere else?

Anyone have any tips for plasma mounting?

If you have a good ear and a hammer (And a fairly light touch) you should be able to hear where the studs are from the change in sound when you LIGHTLY tap on the wall.

I don't think anyone does this anymore. My father in law used to do stuff like that. He could mend a flat bicycle tire with it still on the bike. Nowadays people would probably just take it to the shop.

Normally that's what I'd do. But with a $7000 piece of equipment hanging 5 feet from the ground... I think I'd want the insurance of something else telling me there's a 2x4 there.
