Oh, if you live in certain states, you get your credit report free. I know GA is one but I can't remember the others off the top of my head.

ya gotta pay for these ? Does living in NY mean you get a freebie.

Here is what I know for Equifax:
Colorado, Georgia, Maryland, Taxachussets, New Jersey, and Vermont - Free once or twice a year.
Maine and Minnesota - $3.00
Conneticut - $5.00
California - $8.00
Montana - $8.50
All other states - $9.00

I'm in Masachusetts so it should be free right? When I go to the page it says $12.95. Will the price be $0 once I enter my information?

I haven't tried it out online so I wouldn't be able to tell you. I know it works if you phone in a request for your credit report.

You only get a credit report from one bureau for free. You have to pay for the other two. You are better off going to each individual bureau to check your credit report. They try to keep the same information on their files but what is on your credit report for one bureau may not be on your credit report from another bureau.

I've heard that too but I thought it was only a printed version that they mailed you, not online.

I believe that is the case. I haven't tried to order one on-line so I am not 100% sure. I call in to get mine.
