Where Do I find Metric Pipe Fittings?

I bought a transfer tank for diesel. I want to be able to remove the manual crank pump when I take it to town to fill. Then, I'd like to put a pipe cap on it to prevent spillage and intrusion of foreign matter.

But the thread is M32 with a 1MM pitch and so far, I haven't been able to find anything with that thread.

If nothing else, I guess I could use a plastic cap and force thread it on, but I don't want to risk damaging the fine threads. Diesel eats duct tape, so that won't work.

you could get the closest interference fit possible in PVC and then heat it up and thread it on. m32x1.5 seems to be more common, odd. where are you located?

That's sort of what I did. I found that a PVC 1" pipe cap slipped down over it and caught a few threads enough to get snug. Then I inverted a rubber plug inside that cap and secured it with a bolt and nut drilled through the pipe cap. That causes the plug to fit inside the tank mounted tube as a seal against any possible splashing while in motion. A small cord is then attached to the nut and tied to the tank itself as a lanyard/keeper.
