Where do I apply to take the A+ exams (NOT training - the actual exams)

Well....I'm ready to take the A+ exams! I was supposed to take it like 2 months ago for school, but now I've waited till the last minute and I absolutely MUST pass it.

I need to HAVE THE GRADES by July 6th.

Anyone know how long the wait is to take the exam after you apply?

Also, how long is the wait to get my score after I've taken the exam?

I need to show the Dean of my school that I passed the test by July 6th.

Does anyone know where I can take this thing too? I live in the SF bay area in CA. Can I take it online? Or do I need to actually go somewhere and take it?

I heard it costs about $100 for each exam; is that true? That's a crapload of money to take a simple test. It's 120 questions (x2) or 60 questions (x2)? I always forget that....about 90 minutes do do it, right? Or is it 180? I don't remember anymore.

there's a Sylvan testing center in Sacramento, thats where I took mine... as for when they can schedule the test, you'll have to contact them... as for your test scores, they give them to you on the spot,you'll have to wait a little while before you get your "official" certificate but they give you your scores on the spot,at least they did it that way when I took the test in Sacramento 3 years ago....good luck


P.S. there are 2 tests. each they give you 90 mins to complete approx 70 questions on each one.A "hardware" test and a "windows" test and yes each test costs somewhere in the vicinity of $100-$120
