Where did this come from and another question...

"OMG!!! OH NO! AIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! NOOOOOO!O!OO!O!!!!"

And where did THAT one came from????

I seen this too often. Care to explain?

<----Not around Off Topic that often to know

Also, what is the best Internet filtering software?

It's an expression but I highly urge you to change the subject quickly b/c the mods have declared it a bannable offense to make "NEF" posts bearing it due to people "abusing" it.

But seriously, What about the OTHER question?

<----needs to fortify his brother's computer due to parental requests

AFAIK no filtering software is unbreakable. The best idea I've seen yet (can't remember what ISP it was) was the ISP that sends a list of all sites visited each month. No filtering, but the parents can know for sure where the kids surfed.

I thought so...

I know nothing is breakable. Hell, you can get morpheus and go about it that way and it will bypass EVERY filter.

I just need something that would make it more difficult that's all.

the best way is to put his computer out in the living room where everyone can see him as they walk by. and hide the keyboard when he's home alone or something.

Hide some monkey pr0n in his room and rat him out. If he's grounded from the computer for downloading the pr0n he can't actually download it, now can he?😉 Plus by the time dad gets done beating him for having monkey pr0n in his room he won't want the computer anymore anyway.

But seriously, just put the computer in the living room.

Well, I don't think I am going to move it to the living room due to furniture and space reasons. It is already in the study and that room has two swing open doors that are magnetically connected when closed. The monitor is in plain view and yes, the keyboard is cordless.

But the thing is, he gets home before any of my parents do and I am not here.

It's called a BIOS password... 😀

Or does he know how to pass it?

Right now, he knows JACK SQUAT about the computer other than it can play Starcraft, RTCW, and MW3 as well as Quake and stuff.

Thing is... he might not know it now but he might in the future.

It is also about the other kid that can't get access to the stuff from their house and mooching off of an unprotected computer. And if he did know how to bypass it, it would be a simple open of the lid and capping the jumper since it is right there.

Just do the bios password. When he's old enough to figure it out, he's old enough to download pr0n.

What, 15, 16 years old? lol 😉
