Where did the storylines go????

so im playing my FPS's and i realized that there was really no storyline behind the games.... like unreal tournement.... Q3A u know what i mean???? have they really lost the capability to create thought provoking stories?!?!?! i say bring back the stories.... it makes it even more fun.... instead of mindless carnage!!!!!

it was still kinda good when half life was around.... and there have been good games with good stories recently, NOLF, RTCW, Max Payne, Red Faction to name a few... but i think its just BS how they are turning us into mindless ppl with no creativity
