Where did the extra space go?

Prior to the changes, my one physical 120gb HD was partitioned into 3 NTFS drives (C: for XP, D: for Vista and E: for storage) and two other drives for ubuntu and its swap space. I used the gparted app from Ubuntu to shrink down my E: storage by 5gb and resized my D: Vista drive to include this 5gb new space. Everything went well and gparted shows the sizes correctly once it was done. I rebooted and Vista ran a chkdsk on both the D: and E: drives which I let run. I logged in and both drives show the correct sizes however the D: Vista drive that should have additional drive space shows that same space being used somehow. I highlighted all of the items in the drive (along with the hidden files) and did a check properties ot see how much space it was being used but it doesn't have that extra 5gb space. Has anyone seen this issue before?
