where did Monsoon go?

Hello, all. I have a Monsoon MM700 speaker set on my home desktop system. Love 'em, great sound. But it looks like the amp part has died. When I turn the power on, the power LED doesn't light up, and there's no power-on "thump." Tried two different outlets just to make sure its not a house wiring problem.

I figure there's a good chance its just a bad power switch or simple power supply component, and if its not too expensive I'd prefer to get it repaired than to replace it. But their website is dead, and Googling didn't unearth any new info.

Is Monsoon completely out of business? Or bought out by somebody? Where do I go from here?

This month's Maximum PC watchdog report on Monsoon states that there is no contact info available, their website is non-functional, and you should avoid dealing with them.
