Where could this be best used? Help me decide.

Like the title says - Help me decide - I have 12.5Ghz of crunching power
that needs a new home. To many choices in that Shameless Thread.
Time to give back a little to all that I have gained from the AT Forums.

Been reading the TeAm AnandTech D.C. Needs YOU! Shameless Recruiting Thread ~~
and am trying to decide which DC on AT I might be able to help the most.

I have been running Seti@home (not for AT - Sorry)
but with phase 1 coming to an end and with the changes
being implemented with BIONIC I feel that a new home is in order.
I only have (2) P4 rigs running about 40 wu's a day and
(3) AMD rigs running another 21 wu's a day but they are 24/7.

Edit: Just joined Seventeen or Bust - Thanks for the input. ;)
And joined the Team AnandTech Seti@Home

We could always use a little help in the Folding@Home project. ;)

A broadband connection helps, but on-demand dialup works fine too if you keep an eye on it occasionally (that's what I have to do, living in a rural area). It can be set up as a GUI client (system tray icon), CLI client (command line, DOS-like window), or CLI as a NT Service (totally hidden, but easily monitorable either over a network or locally through any one of a multitude of third-party utilities).

Here are some links that could help you if you decide to give F@H a try. :)

I myself run Seventeen or Bust. We are in a heated battle for first place worldwide and can use all available computers. That fleet of yours would assure a good rate and be very helpful to the TeAm :) If you have any questions about the project, feel free to ask myself or any of my fellow SoB crunchers.

But feel free to join any project you wish to. You'll have the support from all of us :).

The answer is whichever project you can make a connection too ;)

With that stated I will shamelessly plug:
SOB

WE are in a heated battle for the #1 spot. Ars is having a gauntlet that will end soon but our rate is very high and with that extra 12.5 ghz of power we can surely overtake them in short order (perhaps even w/ their gauntlet!)...

A great/easy client to use and P4 systems EAT IT UP (they rock @ sob)

On another note, switching to SETI for AT now would give anandtech that much needed boost to keep BBR back until Seti 1 ends ..this would assure Anandtech the # 5? position...i think it ends in 2 weeks..so that is just a thought (and i think u can leave one team and move to AT w/ Wu's intact?...sorry dont know much about SETI)

UD is a grand project, so is F@H.....

Chessbrain can be run w/ any DC client but it needs an always on (or mostly on) connection...

Welcome to the team!

I like the D2OL project. It just seems to me I would rather try to help "us" then doing some of the other DC projects. But where ever you go, join Team Anandtech. :p

OK - Look's interesting to me. SoB it is! I set up my two HT rigs with one instance of SoB and still running one instance of Seti@Home. I was not getting 100% cpu usage running the SoB client, so I decided to keep running Seti as well. Can I run 2 instances of the SoB client on my HT rigs or is there a setting that can be changed. I did note a setting in the config for priority that shows normal, low, idle. I have it at the default of idle and it is running at about 537788 cEM's/sec. Whatever, that means.

Might just do this also.

We could do with some help on the CB team, and it works well with other projects:)

As default, SoB will only use 1 processor. However, if you use the Service install, then you can set it up to use multiple CPUs, as well as HT. Just run sobsvc with the option -o2 to make best use of HT :)

Welcome to the TeAm, also! :D Your CPU power will be much appreciated :D
