Where can you get free tests for STDs?

I can't tell the whole long story, but the short version is that I know a teenager who has a need to be tested for STDs. She will not tell her parents. She will not go to her regular doctor out of fear her parents will find out. She's asked me to find out where she can get tested for free.

If there's no place out there, we'll pay for her test but she won't accept that unless there's no other choice.

Any ideas?

look up planned parenthood in the yellow pages im sure if you call their clinic could help or know of the people who could.

I'm pretty sure Planned Parenthood provides free testing.

How old is she? If she is under 18, I think you have to have parental approval (I very well could be wrong though). Planned Parenthood is your best bet no matter what.

If she goes to college, they usually have such services on campus, via a health office of some kind. Granted the labwork will take 3-5 days, but thats normal for most of the tests.

pyonir, I hear ya, but she doesn't trust her family doctor. She has no reason not to, but she's over-the-top paranoid about her parents finding out.

The Planned Parenthood suggestion is good, I hadn't thought of that.
