Where can you find ringtones that actually, you know, RING?!?!

I've been googling and looking through sites for 30 minutes now, and I cannot find a ringtone site that has any sound clips of different rings. I don't want a song or stupid shit playing when someone calls me. Call me old fashioned if you'd like.

Can anyone point me to a site where I can listen to a selection of actual ringing ringtones? Also, preferably free and in mp3 format, too. I'd really appreciate it.

i'd be interested too. especially in ringtones that have some volume. my phones ringtones are so damn quiet, even if the volume is at max.

After quite a bit of searching last night, I found zedge.net. In the search box, I searched for "ring" in ringtones, and although it came back with a ton of results, there were a lot in there that were simply ringing ringtones of different varieties. I also love thier preview system, as you don't even have to leave the search results page to listen to anything.

I found more than enough ringtones to keep me happy, and I didn't even get 15% through the results.

interesting site. i do like the previews, but do you find that after so many previews, you have to reload the page because they don't play any more?

Didn't have that problem on my end. One problem I did have was that when viewing wallpapers, they wouldn't show on the search page, so I had to go into each one individually to look at them. The good thing is that they have some awesome looking wallpapers on there.

BUMP!

What kind of phone do you have? Not all of them allow your mp3's as ringtones.
My recommendation for most phones is to scrounge up some midi's from your computer or the internet and copy them over. They are usually the standard ringtones for phones these days.

Just google for midi and I bet you get tons of pages with free downloads. Most of them are under 10kb so its not like bandwidth is an issue for those sites.
