Where can you buy parts for a Yale deadbolt?

One of the deadbolts for my house has failed me. Specifically, the latch (inner piece of the lock, the extends the bolt into the other side of the door) is needing replaced. Checked with Lowes and Ace hardware and was told Yale is out of business?

Anyone know where to find this thing? I really don't want to change all the locks over this one piece. Thanks so much!

Right - Both stores said that yale is proprietary, so they can't key a new lock to match. Also, the damned finish is too, and matchs all the doorknobs on the interior doors. Ugh.

Oddly the customer service link where you can submit a request doesn't work...

Hmm... Weird. I hope they aren't out of business. They're the #1 name in locks :^/

Call your local locksmiths. Odds are, they may have the parts in stock. MOST lock companies (not just the guy who works out of a van) maintain a pretty good supply of parts.
