Any of this stuff any good???? I have some pc3000 running 450ddr now (memtested) but will get errors at 452 in test #8 in the 3rd pass....

I can do 185fsb on this board with my chip so I could possibly do 463mhz ddr.....

Just some researching but is the pc3500 corsair cas 2 stuff capable of this at relaxed cas 2.5 settings....How about the pc3700 stuff??? Just oc'd pc3500 stuff with no headroom left???

Edit: how about the winbond hand picked pc3700 cas 2.5 stuff??? I can buy from a place that doesn't charge a restock fee and make sure the stick does 466mhz or send it back....I can run 3:4 ratio at say 174fsb and test it since I know the board runs at 185fsb fine....If no go then I send it back and get another until one works!!!

Update 2: Does anybody know a supplier who actually carries these....I can't find them on pricewatch...The link looks t\like these are the real deal....Plus the fact they are tru 466mhz ddr makes me think these things should have headroom above that....someone with a much better ocer then my 2.4b can really push it with a 4:5 mulitplier....190-195fsb sounds possible

I get like 3450-3460 with one version older sandra...with new sandra it says 3438/3436....

I tried 452mhz ddr and get errors and I have no more vdimm voltage to give or any lower I can run the timings....I am spent on these sticks!!! Great performers though...

The PC3500 Corsair I found not that great. It would barely do spec. You have a couple nice sticks now.If you want try the OCZ PC3700 or whoever else make 3700.I have to run cas 2.5 for for high DDR though like 460-470.They don't have that much headroom unless you get a couple real killer sticks.I didn't want to keep trying to find a good stick so I just went ahead and bought OCZ 3700 EL so I can get my DDR up high. The OCZ PC3700 is rated at cas 2.5

I have the same problem with my Corsair PC3200. The most it will do is 425MHz. It will boot higher, but won't pass P95 and will cause games to crash. So I backed off to 168 FSB until I can get some memory that will do 450+ DDR. I won't buy OCZ anything....

I have sen that many of the pc3200 from corsair was actually worse then the pc3000 cas2 stuff....I recenty did 10hours of prime with 3dmark looped in for 1 hour and no problems with 450mhz ddr....memtest run 10 passes no problems....I need 2.8v and cas 2.5,3,3,7 though....high vdimm and most conservative settings...

You could look into Twinmos' PC3700, they use 4.3 ns chips so the chips are actually rated to run at 466 MHz. Good luck finding them, though even Twinmos PC3200 is only carried by a handful of vendors.

I have ssen some mention the pc3200 stuff, but nothing on the pc3700....

I need to see some more reviews then cause I have heard tons of complaints with ppl and the 8rda+ mobos and hardware compatability....

Thanks for the link...anyone else have a link???

very impressive stuff

i dunno what the nanosecond rating is on Geil and Ocz pc3700 but their timings are horrible, which makes me believe they are no better than corsair xms pc3500 with tighter timings

the stuff yur talkin about looks better
i just wanna see people round here maxing it out on nforce boards
benchmarks with 466mhz fsb mmmm mm mm m

good find

That is the thing this is true pc3700 stuff with 4.3ns memory and not 4.5ns memory like the competition.....This computer will run 185fsb with my chip and I would like to try to get it to run near that. 185fsb would only be 463mhz ddr.

Its not necessairly the ram sometimes but what timings your mobo likes. With my PC3700 in my 8RDA+ I could run 2/2/3/3 or 2.5/2/3/3.I ran these timings when I had my 8RDA+,but in synch 100% 200FSB.No way I could do that on my IT7 Max2 V2.Some mobo's just run ram more stable than others. Here is a post I found. Its a good link on the Nforce2 boards Asus A7N8X and the 8RDA+.

"If you haven't already updated your bios to the 3/5/03 version, I suggest you get around to doing so! I gained 4mhz of max fsb speed from it, and there reports of up to a 12mhz gain. Grab a copy in the bios section. And a tip for those running their ram at 7-3-3-2.5 or 7-3-3-2.0. Try 3-3-2-2.5 or 3-3-2-2.0. For some reason this board specifically likes those settings (for example I can do any of the above but cannot do anything between!), and you may not have been aware that your ram could do timings that low!"

I haven't been reading to many good things on the Twinmos PC3700.The BH7 is more strict on ram.

ALl the ddr 3700 that I have seen and used makes me say this: ddr 3700 is a different animal than the usual. The timings are not usually able to be run so tight, yet it seems to score better in some benches. It is just the way it is. Twinmos would be my choice, and might be later next week. I have some Twinmos/Winbond I am using right now and it is fine. I will also be testing some HyperX tomorrow just to see how she works.

Hey Jae, that sounds great! :Q Are you testing with a P4 or AMD rig? I ordered one and cancelled it after they failed to ship it out in 2 days... and I've been hearing not-so-good report on P4 rigs...

The ram is actually fairly inexpensive and cheaper then my pc3000 stick I have now and likely could sell it for straight across and then pick up a another stick for the same cheaper price....

The fact is the DCDDR mobos are bloated way too expensive right now....So if I spend basically no more cash to see if I can run highert then the 450ddr I can now then it is worth it. Spending 200+ dollars on an asus mobo that may limit by ocing anyways doesn't seem like much of an alternative!!!
