Where can one purchase some dry ice?

Seriously though, I'd like to be able to travel with some frozen stuff like ice cream on a long trip (6-7 hours). I'm thinking dry ice might do the trick? What kind of store would carry it?

Baskin Robbins(The ice cream parlor) has it, 1$/lb.

Also, many welding supply companies will be able to make you some, potentially very cheap.

Actually "dry ice store' isn't far off . . . ICE MAKERS (the ones that manufacture block and crushed ice) have dry ice for sale.

Let your fingers do the walking through the yellow pages . . .

yea, baskin robbins has some. except the one near me has to make sure you're 18, which we're not and they never enforce anyway.

Places that sell gases (oxygen, acetelene) often sell it. Maybe call a local welding supply store. If they don't sell it themselves, they'll probably know a place that does.
