where can one look for data entry/conversion work?

i understand that the US has a large data entry/conversion need/market. where would one look for such stuff? i am talking about companies needing to convert books to CDs, etc. any help will be appreciated. thanks.

😕 You mean like scan in documents and create a pdf of them? Or do you mean creating audio books on cd? are you looking for a job or to start your own business?

this is actually for some friends in another country. they already have a business doing something like this. a bulk of their orders used to come from the US. but now business is slow, and the middle man is not giving them as many contracts. so, they are looking for ways to find out who these companies are and contact them directly.

local newspaper and those smaller local paper magazines have data entry positions all the time. Also check with headhunters.
