Where can one buy a magnet?

The magnet on my car PDA holder won't hold my PDA anymore, and I need something to keep it in place. I tried Fry's but they don't have any..are there any stores that sell a 2x2 inch magnet or so?

There are tons of places online that sell neodymium magnets... several have a presence on ebay; most with buy it now options... You could save your gas and have one in 2 days...

Buy an old hard drive, they've got massively powerful magnets in them. 2 or 3 "U" shaped ones I believe. Massively powerful.

Oh yes, I've seen some of those in action.

However I don't think I can find an old hd for $2.

Yes, yes you can. Or atleast $5 bucks.

Years ago in high school in an advanced placement physics class we did experiments with old hard drives and I got to keep the magnets inside.

I remember the hard drive had a sticker on it from when it was purchased that indicated it sold for $4.00 or something like that. I believe it was just a 500MB HD.
