Where can kids have fun in Los Angeles (educational!)

I have to take care of 2 of my cousins today, and was wondering where i should take them to. I was thinking maybe the planetarium, but they might not be down with that. Besides for that, i remember going to some pretty cool museums as a child. I don't remember the name, but i believe it was a science museum.

Anybody have any tips or places (in the los angeles area)?
