EBgames/Gamestop, although they will kill you with a bundle. The "best" one I've seen is the sam's club deal, $450 gets you the $400 xbox360 and an extra wireless controller. Keep checking for it to come back up for pre orders.

Few days ago I went to EB games and kinda pre ordered.. I got on the waiting list. That is about as good as your going to get. I am 61st person in line. They said I would prolly get one middle of december late december. He said a lot of people pre order, but only alittle less then half ever come to get the system. He said if i get lucky I could get mine beginning of december, but he really doesnt see that happeneing. It is about the best thing you can do. IF money aint a thang.. get one on ebay.

If you do pre order or get on the waiting list.

Get the extra controller and some games too. He said those will be going really fast. Would suck if you got your machine, but didnt reserve any games.

Edit: Also I didnt get killed with a bundle.. It was $400 for the system with hd and all that good stuff.. And I reserved an extra wireless controller and two games.

just like when the 1st ones came out...they were $250 plus....picked up a refurb at ubid.com for $149 as its still going strong, after I modded it to. I will do the same with the 360..it will be 1/2 the cost before you know it

Me too... that's my plan, if I can't win one through hex168. I figure I'll hit the wal-mart at midnight (obviously get there more like 8/9 PM to try and get to the front of the line) and if i do not get one there, I plan on sleeping in the car waiting for Target to open first thing in the morning and maybe get one there .. since they aren't open at midnight, they should have their's in the morning... I hope.

I preordered mine the first day possible. The guy from Gamestop calls me today and says I'm on the guaranteed list to get one the day they come out. Bitches! Although I might sell mine, I'm not sure if I have the time to really play it for how much it costs.

BTW, don't you still have contacts at Microsoft Ameesh? You should surely be able to pull a few strings.

I got one preordered at gamestop paid off couple of months back.

but I'm also gonna hit Frys while my brother hits target that morning so we can ebay it.

I"m gonna cash in the holiday craze.

Step 2: Apply for job. State that you can work the day after thanksgiving and Christmas eve.

Step 3: Get XBox 360 on release date.


Worked for me when they released the PS2 in 2000. They sold the units to employees who wanted them as opposed to watching customers fight over them. Smart move, because they make their money either way.
