I have to send a fax to my credit union...but they're like 100 miles away. I'm at work and don't want to use their fax machine because of the long-distance charge on the call.

What common places allow you to send faxes and traditionally, how much do they charge for the service? Thanks-

Just go to your local drug stores or Staples or office supplies stores. I don't know how much they charge per fax page though.

That sucks if it's that much per page...I have a 17 page document to send....and faxes only cost them the call since I'm sending.

ouch, 17 pages will not be good, you need to find a people that will do it for you

do you have a real estate agent that you have worked with lately? or do you bank at a real bank where you talk to someone/know someone? either of those might let you do it for free

if you go to a normal place, 17 pages is going to upset you to pay for it

good luck

Yeah...I just called the UPS Store... $2 for the first page and $1 each additional page. That's a ripoff. I could always do it from work here, but I'd feel bad leaving them with the bill. I'm just trying to be honest about it....but I don't want to get ripped off by Kinkos or the UPS Store in the process....

Use the unit at work and keep track of tranmission time.

Donate $0.25/minute to the local office fund.

Ask the boss if you can give them a buck for sending the fax. That will certainly cover the cost.

I once needed to send a fax from a hotel and they wanted $5 for the first page and $2 for the additional pages! My response was "Where's the closest Kinko's?"

I've done this for an overseas fax. It worked fine.
