Where can I go to have this done?

I have an old, dried flower that I want to have encased in solid plastic (or any transparent solid). Any ideas where I could go to have that done, or how I could do it myself? If it's a do-it-yourself thing, it needs to be foolproof.

I'd say I have no clue, and I'd be right!

However, you could prolly take it to a local university and go to their art department and ask around - if it's a big enough university, the might have a glassworking shop right on campus!

go to a local frame shop. most of them will carry frames that can encase objects like that. the frame will be about 3 to 4 inches deep and you will have to panes of glass.

Called a buddy that does scenery for movies and he said acrylic resin would probably be best.

That's what I was going to say. Been searching google and found this.
That's exactly what I want to do - now I just need to know who can do it.

You can do it. Make a moldm fill it, insert flower, let harden, remove mold, buff resin.
