Where can I get the best deal on an Alaskan cruise?

I'm thinking about going this summer. I'd like to leave from Seattle or San Francisco.

Can anyone suggest where I can find the best deal?

My buddy who lives in Fairbanks says, You DON'T want to go on an Alaskan cruise. They apparantly suck.

ive been on the alaskan cruise and train trip through denali, the boat is full of old people. you'll be hard pressed to find anyone in there 20s or even 30s.
