Where can I get sheets of polycarbonate?

I wonder if these guys might have some. But the circa '96 website is a little of a turn off, and not to mention the colours.
Thanks for the link, I'll give them a call sometime, nothing to lose I guess!

aga, you should be in bed if you have school in the morning... oh well, like I'm one to talk 😛 so what do you need plastic sheets for?

lol, too much work, tonight's an all nighter unfortunately - I got a nice amount of sleep last night though so I should be fine

it's for my school's robotics team, need some kind of clear material around the outside. so far the most economical and sensible solution seems to be annealed polycarbonate

I have forgotten the meaning of sleep and miss the wonderful bed 😛

edit: I'll post a bit more information later on, possibly once the build season for this robot is done (in about 2 weeks). I spend about 4-5 hours a day M-F after school working on this and then another 4-6 hours on Saturday lol

awesome, I'm pulling an all-nighter too (for a research project for honors english.. bleh).. that seems like a ton of work for a robot, I wish I had time to do cool stuff like that 🙁 what's the robot supposed to do?

this year's competition is for it to find a vertically aligned hoop and then adjust the shooter's position/angle to shoot at it. The first X seconds of every competition it has to do it on its own. We have a camera that searches for a specific light and then shoots based on that. There are some side goals too that are on the ground but those are worth 1/3 the points.

It's a pretty big task in itself, every year we have to get about $50k-$75k from local companies in order to do this. I wish I had more time to sleep everyday so I definitely feel the need for more time right there with you 😛
